Job summary

Cox Fleet is expanding its mobile on-site maintenance team nationwide and is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. This role performs licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-mid repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose, repair, and document work, while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The position offers an hourly wage of $29.38–$44.09, with eligibility for additional compensation and performance incentives, and requires

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT regulations awareness and pre-employment screening requirement.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and diesel systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and company service truck.
• Document work using RO, photos, and TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely.
