CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose engines and electrical systems, manage parts on a company truck, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to maintain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld test tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle with pre/post trip checks.
• Document work in RO using TRAIT app and upload photos of parts used and findings.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain compliance with safety policies.
