Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading mobile fleet maintenance provider, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile field setting. You will work under supervision, support DOT compliance, and maintain records using company tools and iOS devices.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and ability to handle physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• DOT regulations and FMCSA requirements knowledge is preferred.
• Complete all required company training and maintain DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor repairs on electrical, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Manage parts inventory for service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
• Conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Document work and upload photos using company systems and devices.
