Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work with a high degree of independence, manage parts on the go, and document work using our TRAIT app.

The role requires DOT compliance, tool readiness, and the ability to travel extensively. A new hire bonus of $5,000 is offered, with conditions described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card acceptable if valid for >4 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment (electrical, brakes, cooling, engines, transmissions, etc.).
• Independently manage parts inventory and use RO documentation on RO/TRAI T app.
• Maintain and operate company vehicle; perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details accurately with photos.
