Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I - DOT to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and light repairs on a mobile fleet. The role supports on-site field service with DOT regulatory compliance and detailed documentation using the TRAIT app.

Shift is SUN-THU 3 pm–1 am. Internationally mobile with 100% travel, nationwide service coverage. A $3500 new hire bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; up to 2 years in a related field.
• Must supply own hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge is required.
• ASET8 certification within 18 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Carry out light repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Manage parts inventory and use company tools and systems for RO documentation.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely; maintain safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.
