Rush Truck Centers is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service our fleet at client locations, handling diagnostics, maintenance, and repair with a strong emphasis on customer service. You will perform inspections, parts removal and reconditioning, use manuals, and document work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CDL and FMVSS-compliant medical card required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections on trucks, ensure cleanliness and documentation.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components (injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, transmissions).
• Document work in the company computer system.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
• Be available for after-hours service and flexible scheduling.
