Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service client locations and maintain fleet readiness. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, with emphasis on reliability and customer service.

Responsibilities include driving to client sites, reading orders, and documenting work performed. The role requires a CDL with proper medical card, plus hands-on experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by the FMVS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment as per company standards.
• Read job orders, diagnose vehicle issues, and plan repair procedures.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions and perform correct repairs.
• Maintain and inventory tools, report to the Service Manager, and be available for after-hours service.
