Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets nationwide in a mobile/field capacity. The role requires performing DOT inspections, PMs, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile setting.

The position emphasizes diagnostics, safety compliance, and independent scheduling, with opportunities to advance. A valid DOT medical card and ASE certifications are preferred; a new hire bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field or 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance; able to pass pre-employment screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems; run diagnostics with handheld devices.
• Inspect and road test vehicles; document findings and upload RO data using company iOS devices.
