Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a field/mobile setting. This role will be based in the United States, with remote-friendly options but requiring residence in Oklahoma City, OK.

The technician will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, manage on-site parts and documentation via TRAIT, and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining safety standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air conditioning systems, Engine electronics and transmissions.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs on RO using TRAIT app.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.
