Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Cox Fleet division is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs for a range of trucks. You’ll diagnose complex issues, manage tools and parts, and document findings via mobile apps.

The role emphasizes field autonomy, safety compliance, and delivering high-quality service with a focus on customer satisfaction. Valid DOT credentials and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in related field; or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Must have valid driver's license and meet DOT driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work performed with RO forms using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals and Estes.
