Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for DOT Management. This role conducts licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting, with the ability to work remotely but travel 100% of the time.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems, manage parts inventory, and document work using an iOS device. Requires a HS diploma/GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Manage parts inventory and document work via iOS device.
• Road test vehicles and ensure proper operation after service.
• Maintain safety checks and comply with DOT/OSHA regulations.
