Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive Company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for the 2nd shift (2pm–11pm) in Owensboro, KY. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs for trucks in a mobile/field setting, with emphasis on diagnostics, parts handling, and safety compliance.

The role requires history with diesel systems, tool proficiency, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with clients and support teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brakes, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment using test instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck.
• Document work and upload RO photos using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
