Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Owensboro, KY to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile field setting.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, road testing, parts coordination, and thorough documentation. ASE T8 certification and DOT compliance are required or pursued within 18 months. Weekly Friday pay and company benefits are available.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; relevant related field experience accepted.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or equivalent.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background and valid DOT medical card as applicable.
• Eligible to work in the United States; valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform physically demanding field work and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in the field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment; road test to verify proper operation.
• Document work performed and parts used; manage RO entries on TRAIT app.
• Communicate estimates and approvals with management; obtain PO numbers.
