Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for night shifts in the United States. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment across light to heavy trucks.

Strong diagnostics, safety adherence, and the ability to manage RO documentation are essential. The role offers a remote work option with the need to live in the designated city, state, or region, and pays hourly with potential incentive programs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years with different degree/certification.
• Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card acceptable if valid beyond 4 months; if <=4 months, a DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect and road test vehicles to verify proper function after service.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO using TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Communicate with management for repair approvals and PO numbers.
• Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety requirements.
