Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) seeks a Mobile Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty truck repairs and maintenance at customer locations. This role builds customer relationships, drives labor sales, and analyzes operations to expand service opportunities within a designated territory.

The position emphasizes safe work practices, precise paperwork, and proactive promotion of preventive maintenance and related services.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum three years’ heavy duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required. Engine and Component certifications are a plus.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working with little supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
• Possess necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
• Class A or B CDL and/or DOT medical card may be required depending on vehicle size.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with general supervision.
• Coordinates repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment; schedules mobile maintenance with Service Advisor.
• Advises customers on needed service work and suggests additional labor, parts, and body shop sales when possible.
• Follows safety practices, uses safety equipment, and reports damage to supervisor.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers and documents work performed in the service system.
• Oversees operations of assigned customers in territory; calls on key accounts to promote preventive maintenance and products.
• Responsible for achieving labor sales objectives for assigned accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
