Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) is seeking a Mobile Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic in Texas to perform heavy-duty truck repairs and maintenance at customer sites. You will coordinate repair orders, advise customers on service needs, and promote additional labor, parts, and promotions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ heavy-duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required.
• Engine and Component certifications are a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
• Class A or B CDL and/or DOT medical card may be required depending upon the size of the mobile service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine heavy-duty truck repairs and maintenance on-site at customer locations.
• Coordinates repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Advises customers of needed service work and suggests additional labor or parts.
• Follows safety practices and maintains proper safety of company vehicles.
• Creates and closes repair orders in the MHC system and documents work performed.
• Maintains tooling and parts inventory on the service truck.
• Oversees operations of assigned customers in territory and drives labor sales objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
