Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is seeking a Mobile Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to perform heavy‑duty truck repairs and maintenance offsite at customer locations. You will develop relationships with customers to achieve labor sales quotas and identify opportunities to increase service sales in your territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ heavy duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required.
• Engine and Component certifications are a plus.
• Must be self‑motivated and capable of working with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy‑duty truck equipment and related components with general supervision.
• Coordinate customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Advise customer of needed service work and suggest additional labor, parts and body shop sales when possible.
• Maintain safety practices and proper care of company vehicles; report any damage immediately.
• Create and close repair orders in the MHC system and document time spent on repairs.
