Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company (MHC Kenworth) is seeking a Mobile Diesel Service Technician to perform heavy-duty truck repairs offsite at customer locations. You will develop relationships with customers, drive labor sales, and identify opportunities to add service work in a designated territory.

This role requires coordinating with service managers and advising customers on additional maintenance. The position emphasizes safety, accurate repair documentation, and meeting sales quotas while providing

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of heavy-duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required; engine/component certs are a plus.
• CDL Class A or B license may be required depending on the vehicle size.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen; schedule work with Service Advisor.
• Advise customers on needed service, and propose additional labor, parts and body shop work.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment and vehicles; report any damage immediately.
• Manage repairs documentation in the MHC system and control tooling/parts inventory.
• Call on key accounts to promote preventive maintenance and new products.
• Aim to achieve labor sales objectives for assigned accounts.
