Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to maintain our fleet and respond to on-site service calls at client locations, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years’ Class 7 & 8 experience, a valid CDL and Medical card, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years' experience as Class 7 & 8 technician.
• Current CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep the vehicle properly stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and will be assigned duties on a daily basis.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and be available for an open work schedule.
• Read job orders and observe(vehicle) to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and perform correct repair procedures.
