Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a mobile CT unit in Augusta, GA. We are seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT imaging, ensure safe patient care, and uphold quality standards in a dynamic, mobile environment.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year radiology experience. Competitive hourly pay with shift incentives and a full benefits program are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT Radiography and CT certifications required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with sterile technique as needed.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
