Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA and seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT, and a minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Join a team dedicated to compassionate care and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT certifications: Radiography and CT; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep clearly using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain department workflow and regulatory compliance.
