Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group's New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and provide compassionate patient care. You will perform CT procedures, work within a collaborative care team, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT radiography and CT certifications, a completed Radiologic Technology program, and at least one year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology preferred.
• ARRT Radiography certification required.
• ARRT CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain dose optimization.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and provide patient prep and post-care information.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety during visits.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document studies timely in RIS/PACS and manage transfers when needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies.
