Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a CT Technologist for the New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA. The role focuses on delivering high-quality imaging and partnered patient care in a mobile, integrated health system environment.

Responsibilities include performing CT procedures, ensuring safety and comfort, and finalizing studies in RIS/PACS. Requires ARRT radiography and CT certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Certification ARRT Radiography (ARRTR) required.
• Certification ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRTCT) required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles to minimize dose.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms and equipment per infection-control schedules.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and identify patients prior to exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock and organize daily workflow.
• Collaborate with team to support department operations and regulatory requirements.
