Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a CT Technologist for its New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA. You will perform CT procedures, ensure image quality, and maintain patient safety in a fast-paced mobile setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently with emphasis on patient safety and radiation dose minimization (ALARA).
• Clean and disinfect rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using proper techniques and sterile methods.
• Position patients and apply markers/shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients appropriately.
• Complete timely documentation in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department operations.
