Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach for its 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team in San Joaquin County, California. You will partner with a clinician and respond to mental health and substance use crises using your lived experience to support individuals of all ages.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and connecting clients to services. A Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification and about two years of behavioral health experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification at hire.
• Two years or part-time equivalent of experience assisting individuals with behavioral health challenges.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance in your name.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health and substance use crises and de-escalate with clinicians.
• Provide immediate, community-based crisis support using lived experience to promote recovery-oriented care.
• Coordinate with mobile crisis team to transport clients when needed and link to services.
