Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I to engage members, support recovery goals, and reinforce a culture of recovery across teams in San Mateo. The role includes crisis response, de-escalation, and collaboration with the Telecare RCCS framework.

You will need a high school diploma or GED and a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification, with at least one year of behavioral health support experience. A valid driver’s license is required for transportation duties.

Qualifications

• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Valid and current driver's license with personal vehicle insurance in your name.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate conversations to help members explore and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by RCCS.
• Respond to critical situations with de-escalation skills to ensure a least restrictive environment.
