Job summary

The role requires a High School Diploma, peer certification, California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification within 120 days, and experience with behavioral health. Valid driver's license and willingness to use the company vehicle are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of hire; maintained thereafter.
• One year or part-time equivalent experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate conversations to help members explore, create, and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture (RCCS).
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation for emergencies.
