Job summary

Crestwood Behavioral Health in Lompoc, CA seeks a Mobile Response Peer Support Specialist for our Mobile Response Team. This part-time overnight role provides peer support under supervision of licensed clinicians and engages individuals in crisis to support recovery, safety, and linkage to care.

Responsibilities include mentoring, advocacy, relationship-building, and delivering community-based crisis interventions across Santa Barbara County, with emphasis on de-escalation and stabilization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use (MH/SUD).
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification or ability to obtain after hire.
• 80-hour Peer Support Training completed within 90 days or within 2 years.
• Current behavioral intervention training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support under supervision of LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• Mentor, advocate, and build relationships to support recovery.
• Engage in mobile crisis interventions and de-escalation.
• Assist individuals in connecting with mental health care and resources.
• Support Crisis Intervention within Napa County areas as applicable.
