Job summary

Imind Health LLC Lanham, Maryland seeks a Peer Support Specialist for its Mobile Crisis Response team. You will provide community-based peer support during crises, collaborate with clinicians, and help link individuals to services.

The role emphasizes engagement, supportive coaching, and resource connection in line with program protocols. The position is full-time with two-person responses when deployed, and includes training, supervision, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to remain calm, supportive, and professional in crisis situations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete required documentation.
• Successful completion of required background check and required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and engagement services during crisis contacts.
• Support de-escalation efforts through rapport-building and supportive communication.
• Assist individuals/families with coping and wellness strategies and connection to resources.
• Help individuals navigate next steps, including linkage to services and follow-up appointments.
