Job summary

South County Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated crisis diversion peer support specialist to join our Community Response Team. The role involves mobile emergency services in community settings and diversion-site work, with a 3pm–Midnight schedule from Wednesday to Saturday.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of personal recovery experience. Training toward Kansas certification, including becoming a Certified Peer Specialist, is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years demonstrated personal recovery experience.
• Training to become certified through the State of Kansas, including becoming a Certified Peer Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile emergency services in community settings as part of the Community Response Team.
• Deliver services within the diversion site.
• Work schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 3pm to Midnight.
