Tri-City Mental HealthAuthority is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I/II for the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). You will join a 24/7 mobile crisis response team, offering crisis intervention, stabilization, and linkage services across Pomona, Claremont, and La Verne.

The role emphasizes lived experience, peer support, and collaboration with clinical staff; shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays with differential pay. Full-time employment with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of the twelfth grade.
• Experience: PSS I requires direct lived experience; PSS II requires two years of peer support experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: California Driver’s License may be required; Peer Support Specialist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client crisis calls, with or without law enforcement.
• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization to individuals, groups, and families.
• Identify treatment needs and referrals for services.
• Triage and linkages to non-client community members within Tri-City catchment areas.
• Provide peer-to-peer support in office and field, including outreach, advocacy, and referrals.
