Sycamores in Beaumont is seeking a Mobile Crisis Outreach Peer Support Specialist to join the 988 mental health crisis response team. The role collaborates with a clinician to provide crisis stabilization, safety planning, and connection to community resources on a nontraditional schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent degree.
• Be self-identified as having experience with recovery from mental illness or substance use disorder; if substance use history, two years sobriety required and maintained during employment.
• Willingness to share lived experience and maintain recovery.
• Commitment to Code of Ethics.
• Certification in Peer Support preferred but not required; if not certified, complete training and pass certification after hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis calls in conjunction with the clinician as part of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Program.
• Provide crisis stabilization, safety planning, and linkage to community resources.
• Offer follow-up support and advocate for client voice and choice in planning and treatment.
• Assist in coordinating care with hospitals, ambulances, and other services as needed.
