Job summary

DESC's Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team in Seattle seeks a Crisis Outreach Specialist for swing shift. You will respond with a two-person team to adults in crisis, providing outreach, assessment, referral, and linkage to services to reduce unnecessary ER visits.

You will collaborate with mental health professionals and peers, document interactions, and follow up to connect clients to ongoing care. The role emphasizes de-escalation, safety, and honoring client dignity in a fast-paced, non-profit

Qualifications

• Ability to meet Washington Department of Health requirements for registration as AAC or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience in mental health or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform crisis outreach, assessment, referral, and service linkage.
• Engage in crisis intervention and stabilization activities.
• Develop plans to engage clients with services and resources.
• Complete data collection and documentation.
• Advocate for clients’ access to community resources.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and trainings.
• Provide support during crisis situations and maintain safety.
