Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Chicago is seeking a Mobile Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for assigned properties.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, energy management, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, a relevant trade license, and proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• Valid license/permit for trade (Journeyman/Master Electrician or equivalent).
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computing skills: Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and building systems operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing, electrical or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust control gauges, valves, thermostats, and diffusers.
• Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance per standards.
• Respond to emergencies and report activities to supervisor.
• Comply with safety Training and company dress code.
