Job summary

Bevara seeks a Mobile Building Engineer to service a portfolio of commercial office buildings in the Chicago area. You will maintain property systems, safeguard assets, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable on-site operations.

The role requires a proactive, self-motivated professional who can multitask under pressure. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in building operations, solid knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of commercial building operations and engineering experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular assessments of building systems.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to service requests for interior and exterior equipment.
• Manage work orders for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and document work completed.
• Assist with safety inspections and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
