Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Union Mobile Operating Engineer to maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related building systems across client properties. You will focus on achieving maximum efficiency and reliability of the mechanical infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with boilers, pumps, valves, and building automation systems, plus a commitment to safety, punctuality, and clear communication with tenants and teams. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required; apprentice program preferred.
Minimum four years of building engineering experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance experience.
EPA Section 608 Universal refrigerant certification is required for service/repair of equipment that could release refrigerants.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, lighting, and related systems.
Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building systems.
Conduct inspections and due diligence; report conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
Respond to emergencies; may require light travel during events.
Manage boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, and steam/processed water distribution.
