Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, is seeking a Mitigation Technician in Dallas, TX. You will respond to emergencies, stabilize properties, and deliver compassionate service during stressful events.

This field-based role supports fire, water, mold, and storm recovery with a focus on safety and rapid response. You will work with our Contents Division and project teams, performing water extraction, drying, and debris removal while documenting progress using PSA and related software.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC (Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification)
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Strong social awareness and customer service mindset
• Acceptable driving record
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Navigate Microsoft Teams and onsite documentation on mobile apps (PSA, Encircle, Docusketch)
• Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude
• Must safely wear PPE, including a respirator, as required

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage from fire, water, mold, and weather events
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces
• Collaborate with Contents Division to clean, pack, and store salvageable items
• Document progress with photos and notes using PSA and other software
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and professionalism
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Set up, operate, clean, and store tools and equipment
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols with daily consumables documentation
• Work with project managers, crew chiefs, and team members
