Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, is seeking a Mitigation Technician to respond to emergency calls and stabilize properties affected by fire, water, mold, and storms. You will perform extraction, drying, debris removal, and sanitation, while coordinating with the Contents Division and documenting progress using PSA and other tools.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC (Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for restoration tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; safe work practices.
• Ability to navigate Teams and onsite documentation via smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold, and severe weather.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to store salvageable items.
• Document progress with photos and notes using PSA and other software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
• Set up, operate, and store tools and equipment properly.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols, including consumables tracking.
• Work with project managers and crew chiefs as a team.
