Insurcomm Restoration in Rockville, MD is seeking a Mitigation Technician to respond to fire, water, mold, and storm damage. You will stabilize properties, prevent further damage, and perform emergency restoration with empathy.

You will work on site with a team, follow IICRC standards, operate extraction and drying equipment, document progress, and support our Contents Division while delivering safe, professional service to homeowners and businesses.

Formación

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Strong social awareness and customer service mindset
• Acceptable driving record
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Teams and complete onsite documentation using a smartphone and industry software (Proven Jobs, Encircle, Docusketch)
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude
• Must be able to safely wear and work in required PPE including a respirator

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage caused by fire, water, mold, and weather-related events
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation services in accordance with IICRC standards
• Remove and dispose of damaged building materials safely and efficiently
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected interior spaces
• Collaborate with the Contents Division to clean, pack, and store salvageable items
• Document job progress through photos and detailed notes using PSA and other required software
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, answering questions with empathy and respect
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
• Properly set up, operate, clean, and store tools and equipment
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols, including daily documentation of consumables and equipment use
• Work effectively and collaboratively with project managers, crew chiefs, and team members
