Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, seeks a Mitigation Technician to deliver emergency restoration services for fire, water, mold, and storm damage. You stabilize properties, limit further harm, and provide compassionate, professional service to families and businesses.

You will work on the front lines, collaborating with teams and using tools and software to document progress, while adhering to safety standards and company protocols.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving record and reliable attendance.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Teams and onsite documentation on a smartphone.
• Team-oriented mindset with safety focus.
• Must wear PPE, including a respirator, as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold, and storms.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to pack and store salvageable items.
• Document progress with photos and notes using PSA and other required software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Set up, operate, clean, and store tools and equipment.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols and track consumables.
• Work with project managers and crew chiefs.
