Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration is seeking a Mitigation Technician to deliver emergency restoration services to families and businesses affected by fire, water, mold, and storms. You will stabilize properties, prevent further damage, and provide professional, compassionate service on site in Richmond, VA.

You will work with project managers and crews, documenting progress, following safety protocols, and using industry software to ensure efficient recovery and effective communication with customers during

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Navigate Microsoft Teams and complete onsite documentation on a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold and storms.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize interior spaces.
• Document progress with photos and notes in PSA and other software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Operate and store tools and equipment properly.
