Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration is hiring a Mitigation Technician to respond to emergencies and stabilize properties affected by fire, water, mold, and storms. You will perform extraction, drying, material removal, decontamination, and packaging of salvageable items while coordinating with project teams.

The role emphasizes safety, empathy, and efficient execution in high-stress situations. The successful candidate will lift up to 50 lbs, use PPE, and document progress using PSA, Encircle, and Docusketch.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service mindset and reliable attendance.
• Able to navigate Teams and onsite documentation apps (Proven Jobs, Encircle, Docusketch).
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
• Must wear PPE safely, including respirator.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold, and storms.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to pack and store salvageable items.
• Document progress with photos and notes using PSA and required software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and respect.
• Keep the site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment; follow PPE protocols.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols and document consumables.
