Job summary

Total Restoration CT in Berlin, CT seeks a Mitigation Division Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive performance across water, fire, mold, asbestos, and contents projects. You will mentor project managers and field teams, ensure proper scoping and documentation, and align workflow with customer experience and profitability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property restoration, mitigation, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Previous management or leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of water mitigation and restoration processes; experience with fire, mold, asbestos, and contents is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance restoration workflows, documentation requirements, and communication with adjusters.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people, projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the mitigation division.
• Coach, develop, and hold project managers and field teams accountable.
• Build a positive, high-performance culture centered around teamwork and accountability.
• Ensure projects are properly scoped, documented, scheduled, staffed, and completed to standards.
• Monitor workload, progress, production timelines, job costing, gross margins, and KPIs.
• Review project documentation to ensure files are complete, accurate, and maintained.
• Coordinate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, property managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Assist with complex losses, scope issues, and insurance-related questions.
• Ensure compliance with IICRC standards, company procedures, safety requirements, and regulations.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement systems to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members as the department grows.
• Work with ownership to establish department goals and shape the organization’s future.
