RTX's Collins Test Solutions Engineering (CTSE) is seeking a Mission Systems Senior Engineering Manager in Cedar Rapids to lead a 12-15 software, systems and hardware test engineers in designing and deploying test solutions for engineering and production facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, staff development, budgeting, and project planning skills, with occasional travel. This on-site position aligns with our commitments to advanced aerospace and defense programs.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance required.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Experience presenting to leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 12-15 software, systems and hardware test engineers in designing and developing test solutions for engineering and production facilities.
• Provide leadership, hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, and career development for engineers.
• Identify staff, facilities, and equipment needs for project success and manage budgets and plans.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, work plans, and acquisition of test equipment; travel as needed.
• Work on-site and collaborate across teams to ensure program success.
