Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Principal Systems Engineer- Integration and Test Lead in the Cedar Rapids area to drive verification and validation for High Assurance Devices. The role spans unclassified and classified environments, maturing crypto and cross-domain solutions from low TRL toward program accreditation and production.

Qualifications

• Experience with the systems development process including requirements capture, design, integration, and verification/validation.
• Experience working in air-gapped CUI or secure lab environments.
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, architecture and design, focusing on Integration and Testing phases of systems development.
• Perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation for Integration and Test.
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews with Customer and Certification Agencies.
• Collaborate with Systems Architects, Product Owners, Chief Engineers, to generate Integration and Test Environments and Plans.
• Lead Verification, Validation, and Qualification efforts in Unclassified and Classified environments.
• Mentor junior engineers on Integration, Validation, Verification, and Qualification.
