Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Mission Systems Senior Engineering Manager in Cedar Rapids to lead a team of 12–15 test engineers across software, systems and hardware. You will provide staff leadership, coaching, and performance reviews, while planning budgets and staffing for successful project execution.

The role requires a Secret security clearance, a STEM degree (advanced degree preferred), and strong project management and EVMS experience.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• STEM degree with 10+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience in leadership roles and staff development.
• Experience presenting to leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 12–15 software, systems and hardware test engineers.
• Provide leadership, hiring, mentoring, and performance reviews for engineers.
• Plan salaries, rewards and career development for staff.
• Manage budgets, schedules and acquisition of test equipment.
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required; role is onsite.
