Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mission Systems Senior Engineering Manager in Cedar Rapids to lead a diverse team of test engineers. You will mentor staff, drive performance reviews, and manage budgets while ensuring alignment with project goals.

The role requires a Secret security clearance, STEM background, and strong EVMS knowledge, with travel as needed and on-site work at Collins CTSE facilities.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years experience.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Experience in a leadership role and presenting to leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 12-15 software, systems and hardware test engineers in design and development of test solutions.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, performance reviews, and career development for staff.
• Plan budgets, staff, facilities and equipment; manage project schedules and performance.
• Occasional domestic/international travel; work on-site.
