Leidos is seeking a senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop multi-domain models and mission-level simulations using AFSIM in Huntsville, AL. You will validate models, analyze results, and support decision-making with SMEs and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field; 12+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 10+ years.
• 7+ years modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at the mission/campaign level with DoD experience.
• Expertise in modeling military systems across multiple domains.
• Familiarity with Agile DevSecOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems and software in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems; conduct validation.
• Apply OOP to maximize M&S environment scalability.
• Analyze results to communicate effectiveness in real-world contexts.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts in Defense.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Document processes, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with latest AFSIM capabilities.
• Assist in creating technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
