Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to provide day-to-day network administration essential to mission success. The role ensures network requirements are communicated, prioritized, and implemented while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards.
The candidate will monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, configure VLANs, DNS/DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and manage network-connected appliances within regulated settings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Active or preferred Cisco/Network+ certification.
- Experience administering enterprise networks (LAN/WAN).
- Experience configuring and managing network-connected appliances in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated network administration for mission network infrastructure and prioritize requirements.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and firewalls.
- Install, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls and related devices.
- Manage network-connected appliances (PDUs, NTP, printers, clocks) with cybersecurity compliance.
- Maintain documentation in CMDB and IP address management records.
- Coordinate requirements with cybersecurity, systems, and operations teams and provide weekly status updates.
