Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Manager, Infrastructure Engineering to lead a 5–8 engineer MIE team spanning facility design, construction project engineering, commissioning, and industrial engineering. You will direct the delivery of capital projects and shape the infrastructure program from requirements through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 7 years of experience in facilities engineering, construction project management, or a related field OR 15 years of hands‑on facilities and infrastructure engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading the end‑to‑end delivery of capital projects in an industrial, defense, or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading and developing engineering teams, with demonstrated ability to build team structure and drive accountability.
• Proven ability to establish processes and standards in a fast‑moving environment, including project controls methodology, SOW development, and documentation frameworks.
• Experience managing external contractors, construction firms, and vendors across concurrent projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate status and risk into executive presentations.
• Commitment to safety culture and ability to operate within OSHA/ITAR/hazmat standards.
• Strong self‑starter who can lead from the front in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of 5–8 engineers across facility design, construction project engineering, commissioning, and industrial engineering.
• Serve as the technical anchor for MIE, engaging with active capital projects and guiding plans and SOWs.
• Own the MIE portfolio, delivering active projects on schedule and budget while establishing controls and documentation standards.
• Translate DoD and program requirements into facility infrastructure strategies with cross‑functional partners.
• Define processes, standards, and tools for repeatable, scalable delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, overseeing bid evaluations and performance.
• Present capital project proposals and status updates to Manufacturing Engineering leadership.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop MIE talent and leadership within the group.
